orphanage tank KopieThe Maasai Community Concern &Children Project (maccop) started in 2009. We are situated at the interior remote areas of Maasai land in Kajiado County. We are located about 80 Kilometers from Nairobi, We operate in places called Olasiti, Narronde, Ilkilorit, Olmeroi, Olosho-oibor, Kimuka and Saikeri.

Maccop is a non-profit making community based organization run by the local Maasai People which helps promote Education, cultural preservation, Community Development, Environmental Conservation, orphanage, Medical Services and empowerment programme.

Volunteers will carry on their volunteering activities in our local schools, Health centers, in the upcoming orphanage and community development project in the area.

At the middle of the programme, volunteers will be given 3 to 5 days of visiting Masai Mara National park (3 or 5 days Safari) to experience and see the wildlife. This depends on the ability of a volunteer to pay for Safari.

Volunteers will be hosted in our Manyattas (villages) whereby they get to learn and experience real Maasai way of life. You can find us on our website: www.maccopkenya.org   facebook: maacop maasai and learn more from the volunteers who have been there.
